Mountain Trout Streams--  The brook trout fishing is tough in the winter but if you get out on a warmer day you should be able to pick up a few.

Smallmouth Bass Rivers --Most of the bass have moved to the deepest holes and their metabolism has slowed tremendously so they are not actively feeding but it never hurts to try.

Stocked Trout Streams & Delayed Harvest Areas-- The VA DWR will continue their stocking program throughout the winter.  Make sure you have your freshwater license and your trout license to fish these streams.
