Smallmouth Bass Fly Fishing Report

Hexagenia Hatch
The Hexagenia hatch is good on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River the last hour of daylight and the bass are feeding heavily on them.

Both the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River are low and clear but we're getting good fishing.

Yesterday evening I had great smallmouth fishing on the Hexagenia hatch on the North Fork with a Mr. Rapidan Skater. To cover both the emergers and the duns fish a Mr. Rapidan Emerger #10 below the Mr. Rapidan Skater #8 on a three foot 2X dropper.
