I developed the Murray's Housefly Dry Fly to be used on heavily fished trout streams during the summer months when terrestrial fly patterns are very productive. It creates an entirely different light pattern than other dry flies and takes many large trout that refuse regular flies. Sometimes presenting it with a forward snap of the rod to cause it to land on the stream with splat is very productive. Be sure to use this when trout fishing on the native brook trout streams in July and August when the houseflies are thick.
Developed by Harry Murray and available in size 14 and 16.
