Murray's Skunk Road Kill Nymph

Delayed Harvest and Large Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- March 12, 2018

Murray's Skunk Road Kill Nymph and Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle Nymph

This is a good time to explore streams such as the South Fork of Piney River and the Lower Pedlar River with nymphs such as the Murray's Skunk Rod Kill Nymph size 8 and Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle Nymph size 10. There are many large trout in the deep pools in these streams that will take these large nymphs. Fish these flies upstream dead drift right along the streambottom using the Murray's Trout Nymph 9 foot Leader to help detect the strikes.

Stoney Creek and Mill Creek were stocked on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
