Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - Update August 31, 2018

Update August 31, 2018: Some of these streams are fishable in the upper areas; however, some are too high for good fishing.

Original Post on August 28, 2018: Many of these trout are still feeding heavily on natural leaf hoppers, but as the streams get lower, the trout are selective in their feeding. A slack line cast with a 9ft 6x or 7x Classic Hand Tied Knotted Leader will help you greatly. The Murray's Bronze Dry Stonefly size 16 and Murray's Black Stonefly Dry size 16 will take many of these trout.
