Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - June 10, 2021

There are many Little Yellow Stoneflies hatching in our native brook trout streams. The trout feed well on them as they hatch from the moss on the boulders and from the leaf jams in the back eddies.  I am still seeing many Sulphurs on the trout streams as well.  Use a Murray's Little Yellow Stonefly Dry size 16 or Murray's Sulphur Dry size 16 on a 6X leader.

The Shenandoah National Park streams are clear and fishable.  The little rain storms that have been going through are actually helping the stream levels.  If we get heavy rains over the next day or two then you can always go in off the Skyline Drive to get above the high water.
