Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- June 19, 2017

There are good green sedge caddis fly hatches on many trout streams in the mountains in Virginia and West Virginia. This is prompting the large trout to feed heavily. Good flies are the Mr. Rapidan Olive Delta Wing Caddis size 16, Shenandoah Olive Caddis size 14 and Murray's Olive Magic Caddis Pupa size 14. The heaviest feeding is from mid afternoon until dusk.
