Mountain Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - March 11, 2021

Earlier this week I went to explore some different park streams and found the water levels better than the previous week. The streams are in beautiful shape whether you come in off the Skyline Drive or go in from the bottom of the streams in the Shenandoah National Park. I did well with nymphs such as the Mr. Rapidan Bead Head size 12 & 14 and Mr. Rapidan Emerger size 12 & 14. I have had a few customers say they are doing well with other bead head flies and copper johns. Fish these on a 5X leader. The adults should start hatching any day and the Mr. Rapidan Parachute Dry size 14 is a great match for this.
