Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report- April 4, 2017
Smallmouth Bass Streams: We are catching some large bass in the back eddies on both the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River. Access points #18 (Meem's Bottom) and #19 (Covered Bridge) on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is fishing good. Access points #11 (Seakford) and #13 (Foster's Landing) on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River is fishing good. Effective flies are Shenk's White Streamer size 4, Murray's Heavy Shiner Streamer size 6 and Murray's Heavy Chub Streamer size 6. Fish these deeply and slowly and cover all of the back eddies thoroughly because many smallmouth bass are feeding here.
