Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - April 9, 2020

With the up and down weather temperatures the smallmouth bass fishing has been good on some days and no strikes on other days. You will do your best by using a sink Tip III fly line with a 6ft Fluorocarbon 2X Leader in the deep pools.  Fish as deeply and slowly as you can with a Murray's Marauder in pearl, olive, or black in size 4 or 6. Swim these across the stream bottom where the bass would expect to find the real minnows.

Both the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are in good shape. There are many public access places on both forks so again please be respectful and maintain the social distancing.
