Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report- August 14, 2017

Both the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are clear and the stream levels are good. I am doing well on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River upstream from access point #1 (Route 661 off Route 11). I am also doing well on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River upstream from access point #13 (Foster's Landing) on the west side of the river. Fishing the Shenandoah Blue Popper size 4, Murray's Chugger Frog size 4 and Murray's Chartreuse Bass Popper size 6 tight against these shaded banks is helping me catch some large bass. Note that in both of these spots I am wading and fishing upstream.
