Update August 9, 2018 Both the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are too high and muddy to fish. We will continue to post updates as the continues change.
Original Post August 7, 2018 --There are great numbers of crayfish exposed to the bass along the cobblestones in the river by the banks. A good technique is to wade down the river 40 feet out from the bank and cast a Murray's Crayfish size 6 or Singer Crayfish size 6 in tight against the bank and swim it out 10 feet by stripping it 4 inches every 6 seconds as you work down the river.
