Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - July 10, 2018
Share
We are catching many nice bass below the heavy riffles on Sculpin Minnow Streamers. Our two most effective flies are the new Murray's Sculpin Marauder size 4 and Murray's Heavy Black Madtom Sculpin size 4. Cast these across the stream below the riffles and swim them back along the stream bottom by stripping them 6 inches every 10 seconds. The North Fork of the Shenandoah River, downstream from access point 18 (Meem's Bottom) and the South Fork of the Shenandoah River at access point 13 (Fosters Landing) are producing many large bass on these flies.
