The Shenandoah Blue Popper in size 4 and size 6 are giving me great fishing on both the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Access point #3 (Burnshire Bridge) on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River is providing good action. Access point #13 (Foster's Landing) on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River is providing good action. Both the North and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are clear and the levels are good.
I get my best action with the Shenandoah Blue Popper by fishing it in close to the shaded banks where the water is three to five feet deep over the cobblestone stream bottoms. Be ready for the strike as soon as the bug lands on the stream.Yesterday evening I caught a very large bass in the shad that took my Shenandoah Blue Popper as soon as it landed on the stream.
