Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - Update July 3, 2025

Update July 3, 2025  The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is coming down but is still very muddy. I do not anticipate that it will be fishable until possibly late Friday or Saturday. The South Fork of the Shenandoah in Luray is still high and muddy and I don't anticipate it to be fishable until early next week.

Murray's Fly Shop is closed July 4-7 for the holiday.  We will resume normal hours on July 8 at 9am. No online orders will be shipped until our return on July 8.  Enjoy your holiday weekend!

Posted July 2, 2025 at 9am  This morning I was out checking the river conditions and needless to say this report is going to be short and sweet--both the North Fork and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are high and muddy. New Market received 4+ inches of rain last evening so the North Fork is really rolling this morning. Fishing is going to be put on hold for this July 4th holiday.
