Updated Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - June 23, 2020
Share
Update for June 23--The North Fork of the Shenandoah has cleared and returned to normal wading levels. I would recommend any of the public access areas from Mount Jackson to Strasburg to wade today. The South Fork is still too high for fishing. We will continue to post updates as the conditions change.
Original Post on June 18, 2020---When I'm bass fishing I make a special effort to go to the tails of the pools for the last hour of daylight. Many large bass move into the tails of the these pools to feed on the great numbers of minnows who live here in the two to three feet deep water. Wading carefully and fishing a Shenandoah Chugger with a slow strip-pause-strip action will catch many of these bass.
