Singer's Crayfish and Murray's Crayfish
Smallmouth Bass Streams: The natural crayfish are starting to come out to mate and the smallmouth bass are feeding well on these large crayfish. My favorite imitations are the Singers Crayfish size 4 and Murray's Crayfish size 6. Fish these slowly along the cobblestone streambottoms with a slow crawling action. This is very effective at access point #3 (Burnshire Bridge) on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River and downstream from access point #14 (Bealer's Ferry) on the South Fork of the Shenandoah River.
