The same story from our 5/23 report. Both the North Fork and South Fork of the Shenandoah River are currently high and muddy and not fishable. If you plan to go bass fishing within the next week, watch the levels. Typically under 500CFS on the North Fork in Mount Jackson is suitable for wading. Typically under 1000 CFS on the South Fork in Luray is suitable for wading. I expect it is going to be at least the weekend before conditions improve. Go Brook Trout Fishing or venture out to one of the Stocked Trout Streams - which are becoming too warm for trout but are warm enough now to produce good Smallmouth Bass fishing.
