Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - May 30, 2026

The North Fork of the Shenandoah River is improving. It is full, slightly discolored and carrying some extra flow--enough that we don't suggest wading just yet. It would be fishable by floating. The South Fork of the Shenandoah is still carrying extra water and is discolored. I recommend giving that another day to improve before floating. Typically we like Mount Jackson to be under 500 CFS before wading on the North Fork and under 1000 CFS in Luray for wading on the South Fork.
