Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - Update November 10, 2018

The North Fork is clear but too high for safe wading.  If you really want to try the bass fishing this Veterans Day Weekend you could take a kayak or canoe and put in at Chapman's Landing, float/fish downstream and then paddle back up.   The South Fork is still to high too fish.

Original Post November 7---Some of the large back eddies in the river are 6 to 8 feet deep and I catch most of my large bass in these areas with a sinking tip III fly line or a fast sinking head fly line. The area downstream of access #5 (Chapman's Landing) has some very deep back eddies which produce well with a Scientific Anglers fast sinking head which sinks at 8 inches per second.

Productive recommended flies include: Murray's Magnum Darter size 4, Murray's Magnum Creek Chub size 4, and Murray's Bluegill size 4.
