Many large bass are feeding on minnows along the heavily shaded river banks where the water is three to five deep over cobblestone streambottoms. The Shenk's White Streamer size 6, Murray's Heavy Sunfish Streamer size 6 and James Wood Bucktail size 4 are excellent here. Cast them in close to the river bank and strip them out slowly. Then cast them to a new spot several feet downstream as you wade slowly down the river. On the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, the water downstream from access point #3 (Burnshire Bridge) is excellent. On the South Fork of the Shenandoah River, the water downstream from access point #12 (Good's Landing) is great.
