The slowly melting snow has raised the trout water levels some which helps moves the trout downstream spreading them out. By putting on a streamer and covering as much length of the stream as time permits, you can get some success. My favorite streamers for this type of fishing are the Shenandoah Silver Ghost Streamer size 6, Shenandoah Skunk Streamer size 6, and Shenandoah Sunrise Streamer size 6. Fish these on a Classic 9ft 2X Leader.
The some of the local streams were stocked last week. Keep in mind the snow is still on the ground and conditions are slippery. So bring your hip boots and gloves, and wade carefully.
