Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report- Update July 7, 2017

Big Stoney Creek in Edinburg is discolored but fishable. All of the other streams are clear.
The large trout that are present in these streams have become accustomed to feeding on the natural crickets and grasshoppers that fall into the stream. My favorite flies are Shenk's Cricket Dry in size 12 and size 14 and Letort Hopper size 14. Fish these along the shaded banks by experimenting with dead drifts and slow kicking fly actions. Good streams are the South Fork of Piney River and the lower Pedlar River. All of these streams are clear and at good levels.
