Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - May 28, 2020

The natural crayfish are active in our large trout streams and thus are easy for the trout to feed upon. I get good results fishing the Murray's Crayfish size 10 in the 3-foot deep water over cobblestone stream bottoms along the banks at dawn and dusk.
The recent rains have kept the streams at perfect water levels. All of the local stocked trout streams are clear and fishable. To fish these streams in the designated stocking areas you still need to have a freshwater fishing license and a trout license until June 15. You can purchase these online at gooutdoorsvirginia.com
