Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - May 7, 2020

The local stocked trout streams are in beautiful shape. Some just recently stocked. There are many different active nymphs in the streams now.  A good technique is to use a three fly rig. I use the Murray's Dark Stonefly Nymph size 14, Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle size 14 and Murray's Caddis Larva size 14. Cast these across stream and after they sink, strip them slowly across the stream bottom as you wade slowly downstream.
