If you have not tried a 3-nymph tandem rig in our larger stocked trout streams, you may be pleased how successful it is for large trout. Try a rig with the Mr. Rapidan Bead Head Nymph size 12, Murray's Dark Stonefly Nymph size 12, and Murray's Caddis Larva size 14. Fish these across stream then swing them into the fast water downstream with a slow twitching action.
If you prefer to use streamers--the Murray's Marauder (Olive or Pearl) in size 10 or 12 is a good choice.
