Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report-October 12, 2018

Weekend Fishing Report--All of the local stocked trout streams such as Passage Creek in Fort Valley and Big Stoney Creek in Edinburg are in beautiful shape. Get out and enjoy the weekend!

The new Murray's Mr. Rapidan Spinner size 16 is very effective on the Olive Mayfly spinner fall on streams such as the bottom of North Creek and Passage Creek.  If you do not see many rising trout, fish the Mr. Rapidan Spinner upstream dead drift on a 9ft 6X Classic Leader.  Pay special attention to the tails of the pools and the runs on each side of the riffle entering the head  of the pool.
