Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - November 20, 2025

The local trout streams have a little more flow this week but they are still low. More rain to come in the next few days. Most anglers are using nymphs on the stocked trout streams for this time of year. I recently posted a blog discussing nymphs for stocked trout. Check it out for recommended flies and leaders!
If you see rising trout, put on a Mr. Rapidan Dry size 16 or 18, Blue Wing Olive size 16 or 18 or Mr. Rapidan Midge size 18.
Hawksbill Creek in Page County was just recently stocked and Passage Creek in Shenandoah County was stocked last week. To see the complete list of recently stocked streams, visit the DWR website.
