Many natural nymphs are in the open water where the trout feed heavily upon them. Since there are a broad variety of natural nymphs available to the trout, a good tactic is to fish a three fly rig. I place a Murray's Miracle Dark Stonefly Nymph size 12 on a Murray's Classic 7.5 foot 4X Leader and attach two feet of 4X tippet to the bend of this hook with an improved clinch knot. Then tie a Murray's Caddis Larva size 14 to this. I come off the bend of the Murray's Caddis Larva with two feet of 4X tippet material and tie a Murray's Miracle Yellow Stonefly Nymph size 14 to this. I fish this across stream with a slow twitching action below the riffles.
