Labor Day Weekend Update September 2, 2017
With the recent rains and the cooler temperatures we have been catching some nice bass on the Murray's Crayfish size 6 and the Murray's Heavy Hellgrammite, Black size 4. The occasional rain showers are actually helping the stream levels.
Both the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah River are getting low but they are definitely fishable. I enjoy wading upstream to prevent scaring the bass. Upstream from access point #1 (on our master map) on the North Fork and upstream from access point #13 (Foster's Landing on our master map) on the South Fork are two great areas for this upstream approach.
