These long contrasting color hair fibers can be used to wind quill type fly bodies and for streamer tails. This is a great material for tying dry flies with attractive segmented bodies. The natural mane has both light and dark hair fibers making this segmented look easy. After I wind these in for the fly body I cover them with a thin coat of Murray's Head Cement.
