Fishpond San Juan Vertical Chest Pack

The Ultimate Minimalist Pack for Going Light and Moving Fast

For the angler who embraces the "less is more" philosophy, the Fishpond San Juan Vertical Chest Pack is the ultimate gear solution. When you want to eliminate the bulk of a heavy vest or oversized backpack, this ultra-lightweight chest pack ensures you can strip down to the absolute essentials without leaving your must-have gear behind.

Engineered with a low-profile, vertical design, the San Juan keeps your chest clear and your movement unrestricted. It is the perfect choice for high-energy days on the water — whether you are hiking miles into the backcountry for wild Brook Trout in the Shenandoah National Park or just spending a quick evening at your local honey hole.

Small Profile, Smart Organization

Don't let the compact footprint fool you. The San Juan is designed around the "K.I.S.S." (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle, maximizing every square inch of its 180-cubic-inch capacity. The main compartment securely houses your go-to fly boxes, while an interior zippered pocket safely stores leaders, licenses, or car keys.

Up front, Fishpond's signature zip-down fly bench provides an instant, on-the-water workstation featuring replaceable foam to keep your top patterns ready for quick changes.

Versatile Carrying Options & All-Day Comfort

Fish how you want, where you want. The San Juan includes a comfortable, padded neck strap to wear as a traditional chest pack or a lanyard. Prefer to keep your chest completely free? Use the integrated rear belt loop attachment to instantly slide it onto your wading belt for a lumbar-style setup. No matter how you wear it, the padded, breathable air-mesh backing ensures optimal airflow, keeping you cool and comfortable from the first cast to the last.
