How to Order: Please select your Reeling Hand preference and your Orvis Reel Color.

Reeling Hand: Select the hand you use to crank the fly reel. The other hand will hold the rod. Choose Left or Right.

Orvis Reel Color: Choose Black, Olive, or Copper. If no color is selected, Black will be sent.

If you plan to put the fly line on the reel yourself after your outfit arrives, select “No Line on My Reel.” We will ship the reel, fly line, and backing separately, without the line or backing being spooled onto the reel.

Fly Line Options

The included Scientific Anglers Mastery Bass Bug WF-6-F is a good floating line for bass poppers, streamers, and other larger flies. If your primary use is different, we can also set up this outfit with a fly line better suited to your fishing.

For large trout streamers, an intermediate or sinking line can help get larger flies deeper. For light saltwater fishing, we can recommend a line designed for the species and conditions you expect to encounter. If you are unsure which line is best, let us know how you plan to use the rod and we will help you choose the right setup.
