The jig style of the Squirmy Wormie provides extra weight which is effective in fast water when the trout streams are at higher levels. When the water is high or off-color, worms are often being washed into feeding channels and this can be an extremely effective pattern. These are extremely effective on the stocked trout streams in Virginia from Fall to Spring and on the larger western trout streams.
