BN5X finish stands for "black nickel 5 times" meaning it provides extreme corrosion resistance along with an extremely smooth finish which improves hook penetration.
Guide Tip: This is the hook we prefer to use for Game Changer patterns. Wide gape for solid hook sets, strong hook that I have never had bend out on a fish. For Bass we tie patterns with the hook close to the head of the fly. For Trout we tie our articulated patterns with the hook closer to the rear of the fly. If your fishery allows two hooks, tie your flies with two of these hooks with an articulated shank.
