Mr. Rapidan Dry, Murray's Brown Drake and Mr. Rapidan Olive Soft Hackle Nymph. Delayed Harvest and Stocked Trout Streams: These hold over brown trout are becoming accustomed to feeding on the match brown mayfly hatches. Good flies are Murray's Brown Drake size 14, Mr. Rapidan Dry size 14 and Mr. Rapidan Brown Soft Hackle Nymph size 14. Good streams now are the Hidden Valley of the Jackson River, Back Creek and Big Stoney Creek.

This is a great time to hike in and camp for several days to fish the upper reaches of these streams.

Park at the trail heads on top of the mountains, walk down the mountain a mile or two and fish your way back upstream.
